Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site
After visiting Grant’s Farm Josh begged me to let him visit the Ulysses S Grant National Historic Site.
Grant’s Farm Part 2
When I left off, Josh and I had just finished being attacked by a herd of greedy goats who tried to eat our pants (especially the drawstrings at my waist.) Then we looked at some of the birds that were hanging out in the zoo part of the park. Please check out the first part of our trip to Grant’s Farm to read about the deer park and goats. After meeting the goats, we checked out some of the other animals in the zoo. There were a lot of animals there with a surprising variety. One thing I should note is that the selections of animals are more like what you migh se at a petting zoo rather than a zoo. There were no dangerous predators like big cats. The park was still very enjoyable and it seemed petting the animals was allowed, though there were notices that the animals might bite.
We saw two really big tortoises. I got a picture of a tortoise up close, but I think this picture better demonstrates the size of the animal.
St. Louis Visit Recap and the Budweiser Clydesdales
Hi! I’m back from St. Louis! Josh and I had a great time this weekend. We did a bunch of exciting things and a few less exciting things too.
First of all, the drive really sucks! It is 6.5-7 hours long and after about 4 hours I’m tired and ready to stop. This could have something to do with the fact that I don’t have cruise control or I could just be a wimp. I definitely needed at least one night’s sleep to recuperate from the drive and as a result most of our plans for Saturday were a wash. We ended up sleeping later than planned, so we decided to see a movie. While we were waiting for our movie time, we spent a few hours window shopping at a fancy mall where we couldn’t afford anything.
St. Louis, here I come!
I’m traveling to visit Josh in St. Louis this weekend. I decided to post the last few pictures I took on my last visit in honor of this trip. Sadly, I only have three pictures.
On my last trip to visit Josh we went to the Renaissance Faire, we shopped for a mattress and we went to the Laumeier Sculpture Park.
The St. Louis Renaissance Faire
In June I went to St. Louis to visit Josh. I took advantage of the fact that the flight is only 45 minutes long and left at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning, arriving in St. Louis by 8 or 9 am. Josh took me on a little tour, showed me his apartment and then we headed to the St. Louis Renaissance Faire.
