Birthday Weekend 2011
My friends and I have a tradition that we all get together for a weekend between August and October to celebrate our birthdays at the same time. We call this tradition Birthday Weekend. Since I moved down to Arkansas I have missed a couple of Birthday Weekends and will miss it again this year. But last year I was able to work it out so that we could all meet in Hershey, PA for a fun day at Hershey Park.
The Peabody Little Rock
Josh and I decided to spend the Fourth of July at the Peabody Hotel in downtown Little Rock. The hotel was great! We had a river view room with a king bed.

Josh and Mary Explore Downtown Little Rock
We always celebrate Josh’s birthday on the Fourth of July because they are so close together. The Fourth of July festivities in Little Rock include a concert by the Little Rock Symphony Orchestra Pops followed by some fireworks. In my research, I also found that there was going to be a party to view the fireworks from the roof of the Peabody which sounded fantastic. So, I bought tickets to the party and a hotel room for Josh’s birthday present. Since I decided to get a hotel room, I thought we’d spend the 4th and 5th bumming around downtown Little Rock to see the sights.
