Last winter Josh and I fell in love with the Two Rivers and Big Dam bridges. We went on long walks in Two Rivers Park and between the two bridges on Saturdays and Sundays. Each walk is around 5 miles and takes about 2 hours. We found the walks to be very peaceful and good exercise.
Since the weather has cooled off a little bit, I have been taking advantage of the two great walking bridges in town. Today I’ll talk about Two Rivers Bridge and park. This is the newest of the bridges and I really like it but it is tremendously busy!
Today I went for a walk on the Big Dam bridge to check out the new spur leading toward the Two Rivers Bridge.
Josh and I decided to spend the Fourth of July at the Peabody Hotel in downtown Little Rock. The hotel was great! We had a river view room with a king bed.

We always celebrate Josh’s birthday on the Fourth of July because they are so close together. The Fourth of July festivities in Little Rock include a concert by the Little Rock Symphony Orchestra Pops followed by some fireworks. In my research, I also found that there was going to be a party to view the fireworks from the roof of the Peabody which sounded fantastic. So, I bought tickets to the party and a hotel room for Josh’s birthday present. Since I decided to get a hotel room, I thought we’d spend the 4th and 5th bumming around downtown Little Rock to see the sights.
